"A real richness to this wine from the extended lees ageing. A fresh nose with pear and a hint of honey, complemented by the distinctive smell of freshly baked white bread. On the palate, a warm almond croissant balanced by a lively acidity from our rich, creamy Chardonnay fruit, with a pure, mineral-rich finish from our unique terroir.

This really is a delicious wine and worthy of its National Champion status."

Brut 2011

In the vineyard June and July were very wet and windy which meant poor fruit set, with small bunches, leading to small yields. A very hot summer and record breaking temperatures in October created the perfect conditions for ripening and a quality of fruit like no other.
