Since planting our first vines in 2006, we’ve been a growing family business, with roots to the land going back 7 generations. We pride ourselves on being a boutique English wine brand, producing vintage sparkling wine from fruit grown on our 2,500 acre estate, located high on the North Downs at the gateway to the Garden of England.

Our family motto, Licet Esse Beatis, is at the heart of all we do across the estate, to enjoy life’s simple pleasures with friends and family, through delicious food and wine. We also extend this philosophy to working with us. Our aim is to ensure you have a joyful, wonderful time working with us as much as we value having you as part of our team.

Chef De Partie (Part time)

our Business:

We pride ourselves on our excellent hospitality from our two AA Rosette award-winning restaurant and are looking for someone to join our team as a Chef de Partie on a part-time basis.

‘Licet Esse Beatis’ sits above our front door at Squerryes Court. It means ‘permitted to be joyful’ and we have been in the business of creating joy for nearly 300 years.

We are a boutique English wine brand, producing vintage sparkling wine from fruit grown on our 2,500 acre Estate. Located high on the North Downs, our vines grow on a pure white chalk seam fed by a mineral rich aquifer nestled deep below the spiritual Pilgrim’s Way. We released our first vintage in 2014 and launched our tours and tastings in 2019.

Our restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday, offering a la carte dining, tasting menus, Sunday roasts, private dining and events.

Chef de Partie

Summary of position

Duties include:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure all dishes are cooked in a timely manner
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new and innovative dishes
  • Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Key attributes of successful candidate

Skills required:

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Deli Assistant

OUR BUSINESS:

We are a boutique English wine brand, producing vintage sparkling wine from fruit grown on our 2,500 acre Estate, located high on the North Downs, our vines grown on a pure white chalk seam fed by a mineral rich aquifer nestling deep below the spiritual Pilgrim’s Way.

We released our first vintage in 2014, in 2018 we opened our Winery consisting of a tasting room and terrace just outside Westerham, creating a special place for food and wine-led experiences for people to enjoy quality time with friends and family.

We now have a Cellar Door, Deli, AA Rosette Restaurant and run popular tours and tastings throughout the year. Customers at the Estate Deli can choose from cured meats, dips and sauces, freshly made breads and pastries, cheeses from Neal's Yard, jams, biscuits, savoury snacks and sweet treats, as well as estate produce such as meats and honey and locally grown seasonal vegetables.

YOUR role:

We're looking for a Deli Assistant to join our team to help with stocking shelves, serving customers and sourcing new produce for the shop. Customer service is so important, as well as having the ability to work as part of the team and a passion for food and local produce.

WHAT's IN It For You?:

This is a part-time role of 10-25 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with the availability to cover weekends and bank holidays. The hourly rate is £11.50-£13 per hour, depending on experience.
